Description
The Milwaukee 2771-20 M18 Transfer Pump gives professionals and homeowners a portable way to move clear water without relying on a nearby electrical outlet. Powered by Milwaukee’s 18V M18 battery platform, this cordless pump is designed for water-transfer tasks for maintenance tasks. Its self-priming design and automatic shutoff features help make setup and operation more convenient when used according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Milwaukee 2771-20 M18 Transfer Pump Features
This pump moves water at a maximum flow rate of up to 8 gallons per minute, equivalent to approximately 480 gallons per hour typically. It can lift water up to 18 feet and provide a maximum head height of 75 feet. Actual flow depends on hose length, elevation, water conditions, battery charge, so performance may vary from one application to another.
The self-priming design supports a straightforward setup process. The pump uses 3/4-inch brass inlet and outlet connections for compatible hoses. Check hose fittings, seals, and connections before starting to reduce leaks and interruptions.
Automatic Shutoff and Battery Convenience
Milwaukee REDLINK Intelligence monitors operation and can automatically shut the pump off when it detects that water is no longer moving, helping prevent dry pumping. The system also provides overload protection in demanding conditions. Users must still supervise operation and follow safety instructions.
The 2771-20 works with compatible Milwaukee M18 REDLITHIUM battery packs. Milwaukee reports that an XC5.0 battery can move up to 240 gallons per charge as specified. Actual volume per charge varies with battery condition, lift height, hose configuration. This tool-only model includes the pump; a battery and charger are generally sold separately, so confirm your listing’s package details before ordering.
Applications and Important Operating Limits
The Milwaukee M18 Transfer Pump can be useful for clear-water transfer between compatible containers. Confirm the task fits the pump’s intended use and limits.
Milwaukee specifies a maximum water temperature of 140°F (60°C) and a maximum ambient air temperature of 104°F (40°C). Operate the pump in a dry location, and never stand in water or handle the pump with wet hands. Do not submerge the pump, and do not use it to transfer flammable liquids, chemicals, fuel, or other unsuitable fluids. Review the official Milwaukee product page for manufacturer specifications, and read the operator’s manual before use. Who Should Consider This Transfer Pump?
This pump may suit maintenance workers, contractors, property managers, and DIY users who need portable water-transfer equipment for appropriate jobs. Cordless operation can be useful where access to a wall outlet is limited, while the compact design helps with transport and storage. Use compatible hoses, keep the inlet supplied with water as directed, and check the connections throughout operation.
Before each use, inspect the pump body, hoses, and fittings for damage, and stop if you notice leaks, unusual noise, or reduced flow. Disconnect the battery before cleaning, servicing, or making adjustments.
