Description
The Milwaukee M18 compact drill and impact driver kit provides a versatile cordless setup for contractors, maintenance professionals, installers, and DIY enthusiasts. Model 2691-22 combines a compact drill/driver with a 1/4-inch hex impact driver, giving you two tools for drilling holes and driving compatible fasteners. Its portable design suits workshop projects, renovation tasks, equipment assembly, and everyday jobsite work.
Features of the Milwaukee M18 Compact Drill and Impact Driver Kit
The kit includes the Milwaukee M18 compact 1/2-inch drill/driver and M18 1/4-inch hex impact driver. Both tools operate on Milwaukee’s 18V M18 lithium-ion battery platform, allowing you to share compatible batteries between tools. This combination helps you move between drilling and fastening without constantly changing accessories or relying on a corded power source.
The compact drill/driver features a 1/2-inch metal ratcheting chuck and a two-speed transmission. Its speed range reaches 400 RPM in low gear and 1,800 RPM in high gear, while its stated maximum torque is 500 inch-pounds. These settings support common drilling and screw-driving tasks in suitable wood, metal, and other compatible materials.
Impact Driver for Fastening Tasks
The included 1/4-inch hex impact driver accepts compatible hex-shank bits and is designed for driving screws and other suitable fasteners. Milwaukee lists a maximum speed of up to 2,750 RPM and fastening torque of up to 1,500 inch-pounds for the relevant tool configuration. Impact action helps with fastening tasks that may be demanding for a standard drill, but the correct bit and fastener remain important.
Both tools feature built-in LED lighting to illuminate the work surface. The compact design helps you maneuver around cabinets, framing members, and other restricted areas. Ergonomic handles support a comfortable grip, while onboard battery fuel gauges help you check remaining charge before starting work.

Applications and Safe Operation
This kit is useful for furniture assembly, cabinet installation, repairs, general carpentry, and routine maintenance. Use the drill for appropriately sized holes and controlled screw driving, then switch to the impact driver for compatible fastening tasks. Select bits that match the material and fastener, and test your settings on scrap material when the finish matters.
Wear eye protection, secure your workpiece, and keep hands away from rotating components. Remove the battery before changing bits or carrying out maintenance. Avoid overtightening screws, and use a calibrated torque wrench when a project specifies an exact final torque.
