Description
The Milwaukee M18 FUEL plunge track saw delivers precise, controlled cutting for professional carpenters, cabinetmakers, and remodeling contractors. This cordless 6-1/2-inch saw combines brushless motor technology with a guide rail system to help produce straight, clean cuts across suitable sheet goods and solid wood. The professional bundle adds a 6.0Ah battery, rapid charger, and approximately 110 inches of guide rail for versatile workshop and jobsite use.
Cordless Power for Accurate Cutting
Milwaukee designed the M18 FUEL plunge track saw for demanding woodworking applications. Its POWERSTATE brushless motor reaches up to 5,600 RPM, helping deliver smooth cutting performance across compatible materials. REDLINK PLUS intelligence monitors the tool and battery to support performance and protection against overload, overheating, and over-discharge.
The cordless design removes the need for a power outlet beside every cutting station. This flexibility helps professionals work in workshops, kitchens under renovation, and construction sites where power access may be limited. Pair the saw with a compatible M18 battery and select the correct blade for your material.
Guide Rails for Straight, Controlled Cuts
The included guide rail bundle provides approximately 110 inches of total rail length, using two compatible 55-inch guide rails. Connect the rails with a suitable connector to create a longer cutting path for sheet materials and other extended workpieces. Rail clamps help secure the setup, while compatible non-slip strips support stable positioning.
The saw features an adjustable cam system that helps fine-tune the fit between the saw and rail. This adjustment supports smooth movement and accurate cutting. A splinter guard also helps reduce tear-out along the cut edge, which is useful when preparing cabinet panels, plywood, and finished boards.
Adjustable Depth and Bevel Settings
The plunge mechanism lets you lower the blade into the workpiece at a controlled position. This makes the saw useful for suitable plunge cuts, panel openings, and trimming operations. A micro-adjustment depth knob supports precise depth settings, while the easy-slide depth stop helps simplify repeated adjustments.
Milwaukee provides bevel stops at 0, 22.5, and 45 degrees. The saw also supports bevel adjustment within its specified range. A built-in riving knife helps reduce the risk of the material pinching the blade, while the dust extraction port supports connection to a compatible vacuum. Milwaukee reports dust collection efficiency above 90% under its published test conditions.
Kit Contents and Specifications
The bundle centers on Milwaukee model 2831-21, the M18 FUEL 6-1/2-inch plunge track saw kit. The standard kit includes one XC6.0 HIGH OUTPUT battery, a rapid charger, a PACKOUT XL toolbox, and saw accessories. The expanded rail bundle adds two 55-inch guide rails and compatible rail accessories; confirm the seller’s exact package list before ordering.
Key specifications include an 18V M18 battery platform, brushless motor, 6-1/2-inch blade, 5,600 RPM maximum speed, and bevel stops at 0, 22.5, and 45 degrees. The saw accommodates compatible 1-7/8-inch vacuum hoses.
