Description
The Milwaukee M12 cordless palm nailer helps carpenters, contractors, and maintenance professionals drive nails in confined areas where swinging a traditional hammer can be difficult. Model 2458-20 combines cordless portability with an impact-driven mechanism, making it useful for framing tasks, repairs, and fastening jobs in restricted workspaces. Its compact palm-style design gives you a practical option when access matters.
Features of the Milwaukee M12 Cordless Palm Nailer
This tool operates on Milwaukee’s 12V M12 battery platform and delivers 2.2 foot-pounds of blow energy at up to 2,700 blows per minute. The impact mechanism supports nail driving without a compressor or pneumatic hose, helping simplify setup when moving between work areas.
The industrial-duty magnetic collet accommodates compatible 6D through 16D nails and helps hold a nail in position during one-handed operation. This feature can be especially useful when working between joists, near framing connections, or in corners where conventional hammer swings are restricted. Always confirm nail compatibility and follow the tool’s operating instructions for your specific application.
Compact Design and Practical Controls
The ergonomic palm grip supports a controlled hold during repetitive fastening work. A built-in LED light illuminates the work surface, helping improve visibility in dim corners and enclosed spaces. The onboard battery fuel gauge lets you check the remaining charge before starting another task, while REDLINK intelligence provides electronic communication between the tool and compatible battery for overload protection.
A hand strap is included to help secure the tool during use. Keep a firm grip, position the nail carefully, and make sure the workpiece is stable before activating the nailer. Although the compact design improves access, it does not eliminate the need for safe positioning and proper protective equipment.

Applications and Safe Operation
The palm nailer can assist with suitable framing, construction repairs, and fastening tasks where space limits hammer movement. It is not a replacement for every type of nail gun, so check the nail size and application requirements before use.
Wear safety glasses and suitable hearing protection, keep your free hand away from the nail path, and secure the workpiece before driving nails. Remove the battery before inspection or maintenance, and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for nail loading and safe operation. Inspect the tool and battery regularly for damage.
Choose the Milwaukee M12 cordless palm nailer when you need a portable fastening tool for accessible nail sizes and tight work areas. Its magnetic collet, LED light, and compact form make it a practical addition to a contractor’s toolbox.
Visit Prime Edge Tool Kits to review the product listing, confirm the 2458-20 model and included accessories, and place your order. If you need a battery and charger, check whether the kit version better matches your existing Milwaukee M12 tools and project requirements.
