Description
The DEWALT 3/8-inch digital torque wrench helps mechanics, automotive enthusiasts, and maintenance professionals tighten fasteners to specified torque values. Model DWMT17061 combines a digital display with a comfortable grip and convenient measurement conversions, making it useful for repair work where controlled tightening matters. Whether you maintain motorcycles, service small engines, or complete mechanical projects, this wrench helps you monitor applied torque more clearly.
Features of the DEWALT 3/8-Inch Digital Torque Wrench
The DWMT17061 features a 3/8-inch square drive and a torque range of 20–100 foot-pounds. This range suits various compatible mechanical applications, provided the required torque falls within the tool’s specifications. Always consult the equipment manufacturer’s service instructions before tightening fasteners, because correct torque depends on the specific component and application.
Digital Display and Measurement Conversions
The large backlit LED screen makes readings easier to see in garages, workshops, and other work areas with limited lighting. The digital interface supports convenient measurement conversions, including foot-pounds, inch-pounds, and newton-metres. Selecting the appropriate unit helps you compare the displayed value with service specifications without performing every conversion manually.
The wrench also includes two LED indicators to help communicate torque status during use. Check the instruction manual to understand the indicators and the correct operating procedure before beginning work. Following the manufacturer’s setup instructions helps you interpret readings correctly and avoid applying excessive force to fasteners.
Comfortable Grip and Protective Design
DEWALT designed the handle with a bi-material grip to support comfortable handling during routine maintenance. The protective rubber bumper around the wrench head helps protect the tool and nearby surfaces from incidental contact. These practical details make the wrench suitable for organized toolboxes, automotive work areas, and professional maintenance environments.

Safe and Proper Use
Before starting, inspect the wrench and select the correct measurement unit and target value. Attach a compatible socket securely, position it correctly on the fastener, and apply force smoothly through the handle. Avoid sudden jerks, extensions, or adapters unless the instructions permit them. After use, follow the manual’s storage recommendations and keep the wrench protected from moisture, impacts, and contamination.
Choose the DEWALT 3/8-inch digital torque wrench when your maintenance tasks require readable torque measurements and convenient unit conversions in a compact drive size. Match its range to your service requirements before relying on it for any repair.
