Description
The Milwaukee M18 FUEL barrel grip jig saw is designed for carpenters, cabinetmakers, remodelers, and contractors who need accurate cuts through wood, metal, and other suitable materials. Model 2737B-20 combines a brushless motor with a comfortable barrel grip, helping users control curved cuts, straight cuts, and detailed shapes. Its cordless M18 platform offers flexibility on busy jobsites and in workshops where maneuverability matters.
Powerful Cutting for Professional Projects
Milwaukee equips this jig saw with a POWERSTATE brushless motor and REDLINK PLUS intelligence. The tool reaches up to 3,500 strokes per minute (SPM), helping users make clean, controlled cuts across different materials. Its six-speed settings provide flexibility when choosing a cutting pace, while the auto-controlled start feature begins slowly and increases speed when the blade engages the material.
The barrel grip offers a low-profile hand position that many users prefer for precise cutting and guiding the tool through curves. It can be particularly useful for cabinetry, countertop cutouts, furniture components, and custom woodworking. Always match the blade to the material and follow the blade manufacturer’s speed recommendations.
Adjustable Cutting and Easy Blade Changes
The Milwaukee M18 FUEL barrel grip jig saw features four orbital settings. Lower orbital action supports finer cuts, while more aggressive settings can help speed up cutting in suitable wood materials. Choose the setting based on the finish you need and the material you are cutting.
Its tool-free blade-change system accepts T-shank jig saw blades, helping reduce downtime when changing between cutting applications. Tool-free bevel adjustment includes positive stops at 0, 15, 30, and 45 degrees. These stops make it easier to set common bevel angles for trim work, angled edges, and other detailed projects.
An integrated LED light illuminates the cut line, while the on/off blower clears dust from the cutting path. You can switch the blower off when using dust extraction. The included dust collection tube and dust cover support cleaner work when paired with a compatible extraction setup.
Designed for Wood, Metal, and More
This jig saw is suitable for cutting hardwood, softwood, laminated panels, aluminum, and steel within its rated cutting capacities. Milwaukee lists maximum cutting depths of approximately 4 inches in wood, 3/4 inch in aluminum, and 3/8 inch in steel. Actual results depend on the material, blade, cutting technique, and workpiece setup.
The 2737B-20 tool-only package includes the jig saw, anti-splinter guard, dust collection tube, dust cover, hex wrench, and shoe guard. The battery and charger are sold separately. It works with compatible Milwaukee M18 batteries, making it a practical option for users who already own tools from the M18 system.
For accurate specifications, visit Milwaukee’s official barrel grip jig saw page, review the manufacturer’s product information, and consult the official M18 tool catalog. These resources help confirm compatibility, accessories, and safe operating guidance.
Work Safely and Cut with Confidence
Before cutting, secure the workpiece and inspect the blade, shoe, and guards. Wear suitable eye and hearing protection, and use dust control appropriate for the material. Keep hands clear of the blade path, and remove the battery before changing blades or adjusting the tool.
