Description
The Milwaukee M18 FUEL self-propelled mower offers cordless convenience and professional lawn care performance for homeowners and landscaping crews. Model 2823-22HD combines an 18V brushless motor, a 21-inch steel cutting deck, and dual-battery operation. Its self-propelled drive helps users move across lawns with less pushing effort, while adjustable cutting settings support different grass conditions and maintenance preferences.
Powerful Cordless Lawn Care
Milwaukee designed this mower for demanding lawn maintenance tasks. Its POWERSTATE brushless motor works with REDLINK PLUS intelligence and compatible M18 REDLITHIUM batteries to deliver controlled cutting performance. Milwaukee reports more maximum torque than a 200cc gas mower under its published comparison conditions. Actual results depend on grass density, terrain, cutting height, and battery selection.
The dual-battery design requires two compatible M18 batteries for operation. The 2823-22HD kit includes two 12.0Ah batteries and a dual-bay simultaneous rapid charger. This setup supports extended mowing sessions without gasoline, engine oil changes, or pull-starting. Battery runtime varies with operating conditions, so plan your mowing schedule around lawn size and grass growth.
Adjustable Cutting and Self-Propelled Control
The 21-inch steel deck provides a practical cutting width for routine residential and professional lawn care. Rear-wheel self-propelled drive offers adjustable speed from zero to four miles per hour, helping you match walking pace to the terrain and mowing conditions.
A single-point height adjustment system provides seven cutting positions between one and four inches, in half-inch increments. This makes it easier to change the cutting height without adjusting each wheel separately. Select a suitable height for your grass type and avoid removing too much grass in one pass.
Three Ways to Manage Grass
The Milwaukee M18 FUEL self-propelled mower supports three grass-handling options: mulching, bagging, and side discharge. Mulching returns suitable grass clippings to the lawn, while bagging collects clippings for disposal or composting. Side discharge directs cut grass away from the deck when collection is unnecessary.
High-lift mode increases blade speed to improve airflow and lift in suitable conditions. Front and side LED lights provide visibility across a broad area when lighting conditions are limited. Folding handles also allow vertical storage, helping reduce the space needed in a garage or equipment room.
Product Specifications and Included Items
The Milwaukee 2823-22HD kit includes the 21-inch self-propelled mower, two M18 REDLITHIUM HIGH OUTPUT HD12.0 battery packs, one dual-bay simultaneous rapid charger, a grass bag, a mulch plug, and a rear side-discharge chute.
Key specifications include an 18V battery platform, a steel deck, rear-wheel drive, seven cutting-height positions, and a maximum self-propelled speed of four miles per hour. Two batteries are required to operate the mower. Confirm the package contents and regional product details before ordering.
Safe and Effective Lawn Maintenance
Inspect the lawn for stones, branches, and other debris before mowing. Wear suitable footwear and eye protection, keep people and pets away from the cutting area, and follow the operator’s manual for starting, stopping, cleaning, and blade maintenance. Remove the batteries before servicing the mower, and never place hands near the blade.
