Description
The Milwaukee 48-59-1802 M18 Dual Bay Charger helps keep compatible cordless tools ready by charging two M18 battery packs at the same time. Instead of waiting for one pack to finish before charging another, you can place two batteries in the charger together and reduce interruptions during a busy workday.
Milwaukee M18 Dual Bay Charger Features
The 48-59-1802 model has two M18 charging ports and supports simultaneous rapid charging. Milwaukee states that it can charge two packs over three times faster than standard sequential chargers, although actual charging time depends on battery capacity, temperature, and condition. This makes it useful for teams that rotate batteries between tools throughout the day.
REDLINK Intelligence communicates with compatible batteries to monitor cell voltage, temperature, and charge status. The system adjusts charging rates according to the battery type and temperature, balancing charging speed with battery-pack care. An internal fan helps manage heat during charging, supporting consistent operation when the charger is used as directed.
Clear Status and Convenient Placement
The charger includes an 80% charge indicator. When a battery reaches approximately 80% charge, the green light slowly flashes, giving you a helpful visual update while you prepare for the next task. Integrated hanging holes also allow wall mounting, helping keep a charging station organized in a workshop, trailer, or jobsite storage area.
Choose a stable, dry, well-ventilated location and keep the charger’s cooling openings clear. Always follow the operator’s manual and avoid using the charger in wet conditions or outside its specified operating limits.
Compatibility and Everyday Use
The Milwaukee 48-59-1802 M18 Dual Bay Charger accepts Milwaukee M18 lithium-ion battery packs. It is designed for the M18 platform, so do not assume it charges M12 batteries or packs from other brands. Check the battery label and the charger’s regional electrical requirements before connecting it to a power supply. Batteries are not included with the charger unless the specific seller listing clearly states otherwise.
For product specifications and compatibility information, review the official Milwaukee product page. Before first use, read the official operator’s manual for charging instructions, indicator meanings, and important safety precautions. You can also explore Milwaukee’s M18 cordless system to learn about compatible tools and battery solutions.
Who Can Benefit from This Charger?
This charger can suit professionals and serious DIY users who regularly use multiple M18 tools and need batteries available throughout the day. It is especially practical for crews sharing a charging area, workshop users who rotate packs between jobs, or contractors who want to reduce the number of separate chargers at a site. Charging two packs from one unit can simplify setup and help organize battery management.
Let batteries and the charger reach the recommended temperature range, and stop using equipment that appears damaged. Use only compatible Milwaukee M18 packs and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for safe charging.
