Milwaukee 2527-21 M12 FUEL™ HATCHET™ 6″ Pruning Saw Kit

The Milwaukee M12 FUEL HATCHET pruning saw offers cordless cutting performance for landscapers, gardeners, arborists, and property maintenance professionals. Designed for controlled pruning in restricted spaces, model 2527-21 combines a compact body with a POWERSTATE brushless motor and a six-inch guide bar. Whether you are trimming branches, maintaining shrubs, or clearing fallen limbs, this lightweight saw provides a practical solution for everyday outdoor maintenance.

Features of the Milwaukee M12 FUEL HATCHET Pruning Saw

The POWERSTATE brushless motor delivers cutting power for demanding pruning applications. Milwaukee designed this saw to handle hardwood branches measuring approximately three inches in diameter under suitable conditions.

Its compact construction improves maneuverability around dense vegetation and confined work areas. The saw weighs less than five pounds with the included battery, making transportation and positioning easier during routine maintenance.

REDLINK PLUS intelligence coordinates communication between the battery and motor to support efficient performance and electronic protection.

Six-Inch Bar and Cutting Performance

The included six-inch Oregon bar and chain provide a compact cutting arrangement for suitable pruning applications.

A full-house chain design helps minimize vibration while supporting clean cuts. The variable-speed trigger lets operators adjust cutting speed according to the material and task.

Milwaukee specifies a chain speed of five meters per second. Metal bucking spikes provide additional leverage when positioning the saw against wood.

The tool also features an accessible chain tensioner, allowing users to make adjustments using the supplied scrench.

Battery Runtime and Cordless Convenience

The Milwaukee 2527-21 kit includes an M12 REDLITHIUM XC4.0 battery pack.

Milwaukee reports up to 120 cuts per charge when cutting two-inch branches under specified testing conditions. Actual runtime depends on wood hardness, branch diameter, chain condition, and cutting technique.

The included M12 charger supports convenient battery recharging between jobs. Because the saw belongs to Milwaukee’s M12 system, users can share compatible batteries with other M12 tools.

Automatic Chain Lubrication

An automatic oiler delivers lubrication to the chain during operation.

The translucent oil reservoir makes checking lubricant levels straightforward. Use suitable bar-and-chain oil and inspect the reservoir before cutting.

Proper lubrication helps reduce friction and supports chain maintenance.
